In einem idealen Team schätzt jedes Mitglied seinen Einfluss und seine Kompetenzen richtig ein. Die Kommunikation ist von gegenseitigem Respekt und Wertschätzung geprägt. Negative Dynamiken entwickeln sich nicht, weil die Egos der Beteiligten nicht im Vordergrund stehen.

Wenn jedoch eine Person (Red-Liner) ihren Einfluss und ihre Fähigkeiten systematisch überschätzt, wird es mit ziemlicher Sicherheit zu Reibungen und Konflikten mit anderen Teammitgliedern kommen.

In der Regel passt sich das Team an das Verhalten des Red-Liners an und nicht umgekehrt. Das kann das Team vom Erreichen seiner Ziele abhalten. Im schlimmsten Fall verlassen wertvolle Mitglieder das Team aufgrund der Konflikte, die sie erleben.

In der Realität können Reibungen in allen sozialen Situationen auftreten und sind in der Regel nicht an eine einzelne Person gebunden. Auch die Überschätzung von Einfluss und Fähigkeiten kann in jeder Interaktion vorkommen. Es geht nicht nur um die beteiligten Persönlichkeiten, sondern insbesondere um die Beziehungen zwischen diesen Persönlichkeiten, also wie sie miteinander interagieren.

Mit unserem Red-Liner-Modell gehen wir weit über die Einteilung von Persönlichkeitstypen hinaus und setzen bei den Ursachen von Problemen im menschlichen Miteinander an. In unseren Workshops sehen wir uns an, wie Menschen miteinander umgehen und entwickeln gemeinsam mit den Teilnehmern grundlegende Handlungsprinzipien für den Umgang mit schwierigen Situationen in ihrem Team.
